About us

Meet Ray. He is the proud owner of the ever-growing Terra Cottage Farm Nursery. 

Ray has been a landscape contractor for over 35 years in the Wilmington area and now services Sampson County and surrounding areas.  He holds degrees in Soil Microbiology, Agricultural Research Science, Horticultural Sciences, Arboricultural Sciences, and has a background in Entomology, Design, Drafting, and Engineering, to name a few.  To say he is creative and detail oriented would be a gross understatement.  

He prides himself on educating his clients, listening to their goals, aspirations, desires and needs. While paying attention to the small details, he has a sincere passion for the end results.

When not working, which is rare, Ray enjoys fishing, boating, hunting, and of course, spending time with his army of pets. 

 He Is looking forward to engaging in the Clinton community and has been off to a great start with participation in the most recent Agriculture event "Ag Day" of Clinton, 2024. He has had several articles over the last couple of years written over the old nursery, with its restoration and upgrades.
